We provide two information lines:
Mental Health Information Service 1300 794 991 - Information, telephone support and referral on issues relating to mental health generally.
Anxiety Disorders Information Line 1300 794 992 - Focuses more specifcally on anxiety disorders.
Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
You can either contact us by phone (for the cost of a local call) or by email, where an Information Officer will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
All calls are treated confidentially. You can remain anonymous if you wish, and no personal details are retained.
Referrals
In order to provide informed and accurate referrals we use an up-to-date database (The Way Ahead) which we have developed over 15 years.
We can discuss with you how a referral to a particular service can assist you, and have information on a range of services including community mental health, crisis intervention and treatment services, as well as accommodation, practical care, law and justice, and more.
If we can't find something in your area then we will let you know where the nearest appropriate service is located. Contact us to find out how services in the community can either help you, your family or your friends.
Please note that we do not offer crisis telephone counselling.
